4 DEAD AS HELICOPTER PLUNGES INTO LAGOS LAGOON

Four bodies have so far been recovered in the helicopter crash that took place at the Oworonshoki end of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State, on Wednesday

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA and National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA carrying out rescue efforts at the scene of the incident, as of 6.00 p.m., four bodies were recovered and brought out of the lagoon.

The yet to be identified helicopter was said to have crashed in the area behind the Oworonshoki Police station, making a loud noise before nose-diving into the sea.

Members of the marines attached to LASEMA, Police and officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are still at the site as of 7.00 p.m.
