President Goodluck Jonathan has disclosed that the Nigerian troops has liberated Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa state from the control of the Boko Haram insurgents
The President made the disclosure at his presidential campaign rally in Yola Thursday, saying that the troops are determined to reclaim all the remaining territories in the hands of the insurgents.
He dispelled the insinuations going round that he is behind the insurgency in the north-east, adding that Adamawa state will be the first to be freed from the excesses of the insurgents as he promised.
The president noted that among the five local government areas captured by the insurgents ,the troops have recaptured all but remaining Madagali local government area in the state which he is confidence that it will soon be liberated completely from the insurgents.
He assured the victims of Boko Haram that his government will do everything possible to join hands with the state government to rebuild the debris occasioned by the incessant onslaught of Boko Haram
