STREET MUSIC FADES OUT AS NBC BANS OLAMIDE’S ‘DONT STOP’ SINGLE

The National Broadcasting Commission has banned YBNL boss, Olamide’s song “Don’t Stop’ from being aired on radio due to its lewd and vulgar lyrical content which by all standard contravenes section 3.6.1 of the Nigerian Broadcasting Code. it would be recalled that his previous single, ‘Sakiti Bobo’ suffered same fate months ago.

Could this be an indication that ‘street’ music is gradually becoming unpopular, or better still, going out of fashion?
